IECRM Celebrate Students by Hosting the Fourth Annual Apprentice Student Holiday Party

Denver, CO – December 16, 2014 – Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM) (www.iecrm.org) are officially feeling the warmth of the holiday spirit after giving back to their students by hosting the 4th Annual IECRM Student/Instructor Holiday Party.

Around 200 electrical apprentice students came out to celebrate at the IECRM Denver campus last Friday to celebrate the season, network, play some tournament-style poker, and even receive some early gifts from the IECRM electrical training school.

IECRM would like to thank the sponsors for the event – Premier Sponsor Easter-Owens (http://easter-owens.biz) who catered the food for the evening, Door Prize Sponsor Ideal Industries (www.idealindustries.com) who donated $2,500 worth of construction tools, and Poker Winner Sponsor QED (Quality Electrical Distribution) (www.qedelectric.com) who provided QED gift cards.

Students were provided with dinner from Chipotle as well as the chance to take home some door prizes which included various tools, gift cards, grooming kits, and other useful items for an aspiring electrical professional.  IECRM Instructors also lent a hand with the party, getting a chance to interact with their students away from the classroom setting.  If you are an electrical professional looking to share your knowledge and teach the next generation of industry employees, IECRM is hiring! Please visit (https://iecrm.org/hiring-electrician-instructors/) or contact Paul Lingo, IECRM Training Director ([email protected]) for more information on how to become an instructor.

First prize in the poker tournament went to IECRM Apprentice Richard Kyle Hill who took home a complete Ideal electrical toolkit, an Ideal meter, a $100 QED gift card, and an Axe men’s grooming kit for his efforts.  Second and third place also took home some Ideal toolkits and QED gift cards.

Paul Lingo, IECRM Training Director, said, “The party was a huge success.  Each year it provides the opportunity to show our future electrical industry leaders how much they are supported by not only IECRM, but our Industry Partners and Contractors as well”.

All in all, the party provided a great chance for IECRM to give back to both their students and the community and kick off a charitable, warm, and enjoyable holiday season together.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.
