Northern Electric, Inc. has recently announced that The Northern Group, Inc., a full-service national Electrical contractor operating coast-to-coast in US will be relocating to the City of Thornton.
The Northern Group, Inc. will be occupying the entire 116,000 square foot former Hunter Douglas facility. The Northern Group, Inc. currently employs over 400 people nationwide including 60 people in the Denver area and is anticipating growing to over 100 people within the next five years in the Denver area. The company plans to be operational within their new building in Thornton by the 2nd Quarter of 2015.
“We are very excited about our new facility and looking forward to working with and becoming a part of the City of Thornton” said Joe Dopler, Executive Vice President with The Northern Group, Inc., “we will be renovating the building’s interior to suit our office & manufacturing needs. This will be our corporate office as well as our manufacturing plant for our custom electrical & mechanical enclosures.” The average employee salary at The Northern Group, Inc is 38% higher than the Adams County average salary, and they will become the seventh largest primary employer in Thornton at full capacity.
