Take Advantage of Tremendous Networking Opportunities
Whether you're looking to build strong business relationships, influence legislative decision-making at both the local and national
levels, or learn more about innovative new products available to the electrical contractor, IEC hosts an event that is right for you!
Designed to be both informative and fun, our events feature dynamic speakers, exciting locations and unique activities. Listed below
are just some of the events IEC members regularly take part in:
General Membership Dinner Meetings:
These regularly scheduled mid-week dinner meetings work to provide our members with the tools and resources necessary to stay ahead
in our fast-paced industry. Combining dynamic guest speakers, knowledgeable industry professionals, and timely information into one
exciting evening makes for an event you can't afford to miss. To keep things interesting, the RMC frequently ventures out to some of
the hottest spots in town, including The Denver Chophouse, Mattie's House of Mirrors, the Colorado Governor's Mansion,
Wynkoop Brewery, Mile High Station and Palette's Contemporary Cuisine.
RMC Trade Show Expo:
In 2007, the Rocky Mountain Chapter partnered with one of the largest bi-annual trade shows in Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Industrial,
Construction and Process Equipment Show. It was estimated that more than 8,000 qualified attendees visited the expo over the course
of three days. As a result of IEC's sponsorship of the show, members were extended special rates on booth rental and were thereby able
to promote their businesses for a fraction of the normal costs the general exhibitor.
Apprentice Wire-Off Competition:
Each spring, the Rocky Mountain Chapter holds its Apprentice Wire-Off Competition, an event designed to provide our top-graduating
students with an opportunity to display their skills while competing for the honor of representing the Chapter at IEC's National Wire-Off.
In addition to the competition, the winner also receives an all-expenses paid trip to IEC's National Convention in the fall!
Apprentice Graduation & Commencement Ceremony:
For more than 20 years, the RMC's Apprenticeship & Training program has provided high-quality education to Colorado's up-and-coming
electricians. And proof of the programs' success can be seen in the faces of our graduating students as they celebrate the completion
of their four-year apprenticeship program at this annual spring ceremony.
RMC Annual Golf Tournament:
Undoubtedly one of the most popular functions of the year! In addition to providing an enjoyable afternoon for our Contractor Members,
the Annual Golf Tournament also presents a host of sponsorship opportunities for the Industry Partner company looking to promote their
products and services in front of a huge potential customer base. 2007's Golf Tournament was held at Pinehurst Country Club in
Englewood and boasted the highest attendance to date!
Meet-the-Candidates Night:
In the interest of building strong relationships with our elected officials, the Rocky Mountain Chapter IEC is pleased to host an annual
Meet-the-Candidates Night, an event designed to provide our members with the opportunity to meet with Colorado legislators and
discuss the issues important to them. Meet-the-Candidates Night is generally scheduled to coincide with an upcoming election.
