How to apply to the program

If you are not yet working as an apprentice: You MUST APPLY first. Learn how to apply here. Read FAQs about the Apprentice Program here. If you are already working as an apprentice, OR you are a contractor trying to register one of your apprentices for schoolingplease continue down to “How to Register” below and follow those instructions.

How to register

To register, your employer must register you online using AMPS. If you are a student who is paying his/her own tuition, please call Annette at (303) 853-4886.

Important Dates for Late Start Students

In addition to our regular school schedule, we have a LATE START program for First Year Students ONLY. Late Start students can attend class in Denver or our Live-Online program.

Register and pay-in-full by October 2nd to receive the early registration discount!
Seating is limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. General registration will close Friday, October 9th, or when all seats are filled.

Sept. 21, 2015 – Oct. 2, 2015 (Early Registration*) Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 (General Registration Closes) Early Registration is Open*: Contractors and students must register and pay-in-full by Oct. 2, 2015 to take advantage of the early registration tuition price for the 2015 school year, which is $587.50-$837.50 per semester plus the cost of books, $587.50 = Early Registration Member Rate. $837.50 = Early Registration Non-Member Rate.Book costs range from $400-$600 a year.

$637.50 = General Regular Registration Member Rate.
$912.50 = General Regular Registration Non-Member Rate.
October 1, 2015 (3:30-5:00pm) Math Assessment: 3:30 pm No appointment needed. Denver Campus only. Bring a calculator!
October 6, 7, and 8, 2015 (5:30-9:30pm) 3-Night Math Module (Denver & Online): Required for all students that did NOT get a 70 or above on the Math Assessment.

Week of October 19, 2015 (5:30-9:30pm) LATE START Classes Begin This Week: We will email class schedules AFTER October 8th.

*After the last day of early registration, you may still register a student until October 9th at the general registration price.

  • Math Assessment = Math test
  • Math Module = 3-day math class required for apprentices who fail the Math Assessment

ALL NEW STUDENTS MUST TAKE THE MATH ASSESSMENT, which is a mandatory math test.

For students that fail the math test (failing = below 70 grade), we require a 3-day Math Module which takes place 3 consecutive nights the week before classes start. The Math Module costs $140. The Math Assessment was either taken by the student during his/her BAT interview at IECRM, or can be taken in July. Students who failed the Math Assessment CANNOT retake it – they must register for the Math Module.

Class Schedules

If you have been registered, you will receive an email telling you which night of class you are scheduled. We will email both the student and the contractor with the students’ class schedule. Please do not call the office to ask what the class schedule will be — we must register all students before we finalize the class schedule.
