This class provides an overview of the 2011 National Electric Code (NEC) changes.

IECRM’s PDU courses meet the criteria of the Colorado State Electrical Board Rule 9.7, and are approved for Wyoming continuing education, and are approved for New Mexico continuing education.  In addition, this course meets the criteria for continuing education re-certification requirements of NABCEP Solar PV Certified Installers.

The instructor of this course will be Rich Castellano.

Curriculum

Below is the curriculum that this class will cover, though please note that the instructor will touch upon different topics at different lengths, based on the learning needs of each class.

This class covers the 2011 NEC changes within the NEC Code book, including changes to:

  • General requirements (Articles 90-110)
  • Wiring and Protection (Art. 200-240)
  • Grounding vs. Bonding (Art. 250-285)
  • Wiring Methods and Materials (Art. 300-392)
  • Equipment for general use (Art. 400-480)
  • Special occupancies (Art. 500-590)
  • Special equipment (Art. 600-695)
  • Special conditions (Art. 700-770)
  • Communication Systems (Art. 800-Annex)
